Floyd C. Pierce Agriculture Scholarship
The Floyd C. Pierce Agricultural Scholarship was established in memory of Floyd Pierce of Scranton, ND, by his wife Alice, his family and friends.
Floyd was born on March 31, 1930 on the family farm in Woodberry Township, ND. Floyd attended Woodberry School through the ninth grade and then New England High School, graduating in 1947. Floyd continued his education at Dickinson State Teachers College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1951.
Floyd married Alice Hinkleman on June 1, 1953. He and Alice farmed and ranched in the Scranton area all of his life. Floyd was very active in community activities. In his spare time Floyd enjoyed bowling, woodworking, traveling, all types of outdoor activities and sports.
